Computers for Louisiana Families (CLF) program, launched in 2008 by the CACRC, is a powerful initiative that addresses the digital divide in Louisiana. By providing access to affordable technology, the program positively impacts thousands of families each year. CLF plays a crucial role in enhancing educational and professional opportunities for individuals and families, ensuring they have the tools needed for success. Additionally, CLF helps bridge gaps in healthcare access, allowing many Louisiana residents to connect with essential telehealth services, which has become increasingly important in recent times. CLF is a program that offers far-reaching benefits, supporting both personal and professional growth, while also fostering better access to healthcare and vital community resources.

Capital Area Corporate Recycling Council (CACRC) was incorporated as a Non-Profit Organization in 1996, and is one of the first non-profits in the country to become R2 & RIOS certified.  Located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, CACRC recycles E-Waste throughout the Gulf Coast Region and participates in regional city and parish recycling events. CACRC reuses and recycles over 1,500 tons of electronic discards annually from government agencies, businesses, and individuals.

CACRC’s Mission: To promote environmental leadership and access to technology through responsible recycling of computers and other electronics, saving toxic material from the landfills and redirecting technology to individuals in need.
